Vadodara: Vadodara district recorded a marginal improvement in the Class 12 results in both science and general streams this year, while city students also delivered strong performances in GujCET, with several emerging as top scorers across schools.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board declared the Class 12 results on Monday. Vadodara posted a pass percentage of 83.55% in the science stream, up from 82.20% last year, while the general stream improved to 88.11% from 87.77% in 2025.
In the science stream, 6,754 students registered and 6,740 took the exams. Of these, 5,631 students secured Grade D and above. The grade-wise distribution included 137 students in A1, 779 in A2, 1,183 in B1, 1,231 in B2, 1,224 in C1, 896 in C2 and 179 in D, while two students received E1 and 1,123 were marked "Needs Improvement".
In the general stream, 17,589 students registered and 17,559 appeared. As many as 15,472 students secured Grade D and above. The breakup showed 237 students in A1, 1,443 in A2, 2,281 in B1, 3,263 in B2, 3,945 in C1, 3,503 in C2 and 789 in D, while 11 students received E1 and 2,117 were marked "Needs Improvement".
Alembic Group of Schools said overall pass percentages across its institutions remained above 90%, with Alembic Vidyalaya at 96%, Tejas Vidyalaya at 91.07% and Utkarsh Vidyalaya at 92.98%.
Alongside the board results, GujCET results were also declared on Monday. City student Akshaj Vijay secured 118.75 out of 120 marks in PCB with a 99.98 percentile. His father, Rajiv G Vijayvargiya, is a doctor, while his mother, Shubha Vijayvargiya, is a professor. Akshaj has also stood in the 98.43th percentile in JEE, with his NEET and CBSE results awaited.
Anand Vidya Vihar said its student Ashwath Tekchandani ranked in the 99.9th percentile in GujCET, followed by Harsh Gajera (99.64), Shagun Mallah (97.52), Kshamik Shah (97.02) and Soumil Gupta (97.02). At New Era Secondary School, Ekansh Singh stood in the 99.83th percentile, followed by Kush Patel (98.75), Prajyot Jadhav (98.68) and Darshi Vakharia (97.7).
